Submit results: player self-reporting

Tournament Organizers only
On this page

Report result lets a player report their own Swiss round result (win, loss, or tie) right from the public pairings page, no login required. It's purely a heads-up for you: TOM's own re-imported .tdf file always stays the source of truth for standings, and submitting a result here never changes anything official.

Turning it on

  1. 1Open Event settings for the event you want to enable it for.
  2. 2Under During the event, turn on Result reports.
  3. 3Save. Players will see the Report result box on the pairings page the next time they load or refresh it.

Note: This is off by default for each event. Try it on one event first.

What a player sees and does

Players use the same pairings page, link, or QR code you already share. There's nothing separate to hand out.

  1. 1The player enters their own Player ID and taps Find my match. This looks up their match for the current round only.
  2. 2They confirm it's the right match (their name, their opponent's name, round, and table).
  3. 3They tap I won, I lost or It was a tie, then Submit result.
What the player sees after finding their match.

If a player has a bye, the box tells them there's nothing to submit. If a round's result is already in the event file, the box shows that instead of letting them submit again.

What you see as the organizer

Table pairings shows a status pill on each table once this is turned on:

  • Live: The match is in progress. Nobody at this table has submitted a result yet.
  • Submitted: At least one player has reported a result, but TOM's file doesn't have it yet.
  • Reported: TOM's imported file already has the result for both players. This happens automatically on the next import, never by you marking it manually.

A player who's reported Won or Tie gets their name colored to match (green for Won, yellow for Tie) right on their table card, so you can see at a glance what's been reported without opening anything else.

Reviewing what's been submitted

Open Result reports from the left navigation to see every submission for the event, grouped by round.

  • Each match shows what each player reported.
  • If the two players disagree (for example, both say they won), it's flagged as a conflict. Ruloo never guesses which one is right.
  • You can leave yourself a note on any match (for example, what you decided after talking to both players) while you go enter the real result into TOM. The note is just for your own bookkeeping. It doesn't confirm anything.

Note: Reported always means the same thing everywhere in Ruloo: TOM's own file has the result. Player-reported results only ever give you an earlier, unofficial look at what players say happened.
