Judge Call

Judges and above
On this page

Judge Call lets judges quickly add penalties, log notes, and mark players as late. On a computer, it's the large Judge Call button at the top of the event page. On a phone, it's the Judge Call button in the bottom bar. You can also start one from a player's table card, which fills in that player for you.

Overview

At the top of Judge Call, you'll see the current event and round. Directly below that is an active timer, which helps you track elapsed time so you know how much of an extension to give if one is needed.

Below the timer are a pause button and a resource button. Under those is a round selector, which automatically populates to the latest round. Below the round selector, you'll find three actions: Penalty, Add note, and Late.

Penalty

Begin typing the player's name, and Ruloo will automatically fill in their name, table number, and Player ID.

  • Infraction: The infraction category and its level, for example GPE: Minor.
  • Penalty: The penalty the player received, for example Warning or Game Loss.
  • Description: What the player did to receive the penalty.
  • Add second player at this table: Automatically fills in the player's opponent, allowing you to penalize them as well if needed.
  • Minutes added: How much time, if any, will be added to the match as a result of the penalty.

Notes

Notes are used for non-penalty time extensions, such as re-sleeving cards, bathroom breaks, or similar situations that pause a match without a rules infraction.

Late

Use this option when a player arrives late to their table. Like Penalty and Notes, it automatically fills in the player's information.

Reviewing Judge Call history

Once a penalty or note has been saved, it appears on the player's table card and in Records on the event page, newest first. Filter by round or type, or search by name, table, or Player ID.
